Payments
HE Connect uses secure checkout and connected host accounts so paid event bookings can be confirmed, recorded and paid out correctly.
The ticket price, service fee and final total should be shown clearly before payment.
Checkout
Paid events are processed through Stripe or the configured payment provider. HE Connect does not store full card details.
A paid attendee is only marked as joined after the payment provider confirms the payment through HE Connect’s webhook. This protects hosts and attendees from incomplete or abandoned checkout sessions.
Fees
The attendee may pay the listed ticket price plus a transparent HE Connect service fee. This helps support the platform, payment processing integration, moderation, event tools and ongoing development.
The host receives the ticket amount through their connected account, subject to payment-provider fees, payout timing and account status.
Problems
If payment fails or is abandoned, the attendee should not be treated as joined. If payment succeeds but the event does not appear, the webhook or support record should be checked.
Refunds and disputes follow the refund policy, host/admin review and payment-provider rules.
